Strategy & Communications Consultants (SAC Co), headed by Sam Sacco, is our USA network partner. Their American network consists of 11 offices with a presence on all coasts and in all major shipping areas.
Over the last 25 years, SAC Co team members have responded to many of America’s largest incidents in the shipping and oil and gas sectors, including Deepwater Horizon (Gulf of Mexico), Exxon-Valdez (Alaska), American Trader (Los Angeles/Long Beach), the Texas City Y response (Houston Shipping Channel), and the Point Wells incident (near Seattle).
The SAC Co team is well versed in the Incident Command System (ICS) and Unified Command and have extensive experience working with USA agencies at all levels, including the US Coast Guard, the California Department of Fish & Wildlife (OSPR), Washington State Dept. of Ecology, The Alaska Dept. of Environmental Conservation (ADEC), and Texas General Land Office.
The SAC Co team also has experience working with both the Canadian and Mexican governments and has participated in drills and exercises with both countries.
In addition to his work with Navigate Response, Sam and his firm provide crisis communications services to a number of major US maritime and oil industry clients, including Matson Navigation Co., Crowley Maritime Corporation, Foss Maritime Co., Chevron Shipping Co., BP Shipping, and Alaska Tanker Co.
